As parents, we teach our kids that lying is bad and that honesty is the best policy. That's all good and fine, until your kid goes and starts telling the truth all the time ... to your mother-in-law ("Mom says you're mean!"), to the sales clerk ("Who on earth would ever pay for this ugly thing!?") and to the random man next to you on the corner ("Excuse me, why are you so old?"). Here are our favorite, funniest quotes from our members' honest kids.

From an actual newspaper contest where entrants ages 4 to 15 were asked to imitate Deep Thoughts by Jack Handey.

It would be terrible if the Red Cross Bloodmobile got into an accident. No, wait. That would be good because if anyone needed it, the blood would be right there.
Age 5

Think of the biggest number you can. Now add five. Then, imagine if you had that many Twinkies. Wow, thats five more than the biggest number you could come up with!

The only stupid question is the one that is never asked, except maybe Dont you think it is about time you audited my return? or Isnt it morally wrong to give me a warning when, in fact, I was speeding?
Age 15

Trying to keep her entertained, I reached out and stuck her tiny fingers in my mouth and said, Daddys gonna eat your fingers, pretending to eat them. Little Girl on a Plane Anonymous

A California congressman was seated next to a little girl on the flight to D.C., when the politician turned to her and said,Lets talk. Ive heard that flights go quicker if you strike up a conversation with your fellow passenger.

The little girl, who had just opened her book, closed it slowly and asked, What would you like to talk about?

Oh, I dont know, said the congressman. How about nuclear power? and he grins.

OK, she said. That could be an interesting topic.

But let me ask you a question first.

A horse, a cow, and a deer all eat the same stuff grass . Yet a deer excretes little pellets, while a cow turns out a flat patty, and a horse produces clumps of dried grass. Why do you suppose that is?

The politician, now visibly surprised by the little girls intelligence, thinks about it and says, Hmmm, I have no idea.

To which the little girl replies, Do you really feel qualified to discuss nuclear power when you dont know poop
