A slit sometimes is not enough when spring arrives. For some particular reason, women want to feel more liberal towards what they wear, but isnt that the whole reason what spring is all about? This is the same question we ask ourselves then. Why one slit, when you can add another for more presence?

Several designers opted to upgrade their past spring collection with more revealing silhouettes this season. Michael Kors navy skirt offered a more seductive secretary with those zippers. This suit could make the perfect outfit for office, zipping it inside office hours, and unzipping it outside office hours. Alexander Wang presented, as we recalled before, one the best urban dresses any street style girl should seek after. We drooled over the silver double-slit dress that marked confidence and authority anyone would be allured by.  Roberto Cavalli was one of those shows that centered all its attention on the double slit dresses. Its extravagant prints, lace details, and slits combined very well. We could post the entire collection, but well have to narrow it down to two. Karmen Pedaru wore a beautiful light green silk print dress with delicate lace embroidered over it. Daria Strokous white embroidered skirt and top marked purity to the max (you know what we mean). Fendis chic leather skirt was all about color and structure ready to be caught by any street style photographer any time.

Chanel Spring/Summer 2013 Ad Campaign - Relaxed with Style

Chanel Spring 2013 Ad
Chanel Spring/Summer 2013 Ad Campaign shot by Karl Lagerfeld

Karl Lagerfeld, as usual, was the photographer in charge of setting the scenes of the Chanel spring/summer 2013 ad campaign. Chanel ads are probably one of the best advertisements in the fashion marketing side, delivering not only clothes, but a story told behind every shot. For spring, it seemed Karl wanted to portray an everyday woman who sometimes wants to feel beautiful without having to depend on the codes of society. The setting was fresh and youthful, letting all the attention focus on the models unusual poses than the actual background scenario. Models Ondria Hardin and Yumi Lambert were one of the freshest models who brought a different perspective to the brand. They were the girls in charge of exposing the slouchier yet relaxed Chanel lady we wouldn't think of, which sure did appear fine. Stella Tennant felt like the mother setting minimum restrictions on the poise of a lady, letting her body do all the talking.

One of the advertisements that caught our attention was the one with the accessories scattered over the room. It reminded us of a real life behavior some would be familiar with, which from time to time organization can become stressful. This may not have been the best campaign ever, but it definitely was a clever marketing game. Do you think Chanels new perspective describes who you are?

Medium Hairstyles

These days, time constraints to maintain long hair have led many females to opt for medium hairstyles that gives them a perfect look. Medium hair takes lesser time to wash and can be set with a few strokes of any hair brush. It is mainly apt for working women and school going young girls who find it difficult to manage long hair. Many others who like to experiment with different hair styles also prefer medium-cuts to get a new look. It is also suitable for people who have thin hair. They get a bounce that makes their hair look heavier and better.

Medium hairstyles can be tied in a pony tail or with a clutch for the purpose of comfort. They do not require many setting procedures and maintenance products. Another advantage is that both center and side-parting looks apt in medium styles. Highlighting medium styles add some extra detail in the look. It makes the layers look more prominent and defined. Medium hairstyles are also divided into two categories, formal medium hairstyle and casual medium hairstyle. Formal styles are neat, structured, and require styling procedures. They are normally carried for a short span of time i.e. while attending a formal occasion like wedding, awards function, farewell party, etc. The style is kept intact using hair sprays, rollers, clips, pins, and bands.

Another trendy medium hairstyle is the razor edged cut hairstyle. This medium hairstyle is similar to that of the layered hairstyle, particularly the flipped out look of the medium layered hairstyle, but has the advantage of being versatile enough that the entire length of the hair remains one length. The razor edged cut is also a funkier look than the straightforward layered haircut, and it does allow a bit more variation in its styling because it maintains the length of the hair throughout the body (no layers). The razor edged hair can be styled in a side path or a center path, but regardless of how you choose to wear this haircut, you need to carefully comb your hair outwards to maintain that razor edged look.

The medium length hair can also be creatively bob-styled while still maintaining the length of the hair. It incorporates both the layered and razor edged styles to create a uniquely different look that is also convenient to maintain and flattering enough for any occasion. This is a look that is favored by the less conventional younger woman. It is however not ideal for the professional look since it cannot all be swept up in a clean ponytail or bun

Emo Hairstyles

Most people today want to make an argument with their looks and while some achieve this with tattoos or piercing, still others choose stylish yet shocking hairstyles and also the latest rage amongst these different types of haircuts are getting an emo hairstyles. The word emo, which is an abbreviation for emotional is dependent on the music of the 1980's referred to as emcore. Emo music was a cross between punk rock music and melodic tunes that included lyrics with strong emotions. Most emo artists and followers were recognized for their black colored clothing and chic hairstyles. Emo hairstyles really are a huge part of the emo culture that has developed over the years and is then a lot of people today to make a fashion statement.

Emo hairstyles are very popular among young people today. The styles serve to express a person's individuality and creativity but like any work of art, what exactly can be said from each person's look, is always open to interpretation. Emo is an abbreviation of the word 'emotional' which in turn is an off shoot of the 1980's punk movement or of 'emotive hardcore' punk music. All hairstyles that display bold individualism might be described as emo hairstyles although some people today try to impose very rigid standards as to what emo styles actually are.

The essence of emo hairstyles (also called scene hairstyles) is to be in a position to express you creatively and also to be able to show individuality. Many people mistake it to be a sign of rebellion but it's not so. Emo hairstyles are easily recognizable for their characteristic long bangs, dark hair with bold highlights, asymmetrical lines and cuts. The typical choice for base colour of the hair is almost always black, though sometimes it could be a dark brown. The color black should really be a representation of their emotional attitude. :
Emo hairstyles are extremely varied and may look very different from one wearer to the other. There are however a few characteristics that typical emo styles have in common. For example, most emo hairstyles have fringes or bangs. Some fringes are grown quite long, covering the eyes or may be swept to one side. Others are shorter and are sometimes cut into precise shapes. Emo styles are often characterized by deep dark colors, especially black. The dark colors are usually offset by stark and vibrant highlights in colors such as orange, red or pink. Not all emo styles are based on deep dark colors. Any bold color such as white that forms the background of the style can be classified as an emo hairstyle.
